What began as bedtime stories for her grandchildren has become a children's book that Waco author, retired nursing professor, and podcast host Renae Authement is now sharing with families everywhere.
Her newly released book, The Adventures of Frank & Faye, brings years of treasured family storytelling to life through entertaining childhood adventures.
Written for boys and girls ages 8–12, the book is also ideal for parents and grandparents to read aloud to younger children.
For Renae, storytelling has always been about more than entertainment. It's an opportunity to spark imagination, teach meaningful lessons, and create special memories that families can treasure for years to come.

Each chapter concludes with a meaningful life lesson, encouraging children to think about their choices, relationships, and how they treat others.
From Nursing Professor to Children's Book Author
After a rewarding career in nursing and higher education, Renae continued her passion for caring, teaching, and connecting with others through Middle-Class Matters, a faith-based podcast she co-hosts with her daughter, Brooke.
Now, as a children's book author, she is bringing that same heart for teaching and encouragement to young readers.
Although Renae has held many professional titles, her most treasured will always be Granna. And it was that special title, along with the love of her grandchildren, that inspired her newest adventure in storytelling.
